We played in a packed Amsterdam living room and Sofar Sounds Amsterdam taped this acoustic version of "Electric Sun":

New project: LONGEN
A new project is getting shape. Having found myself some dear friends to write music with, the "I" of a singer/songwriter changed into a "we" of a band.
The music is richer now, poppier and more psychedelic than what I did before. It's got a groove which can give me the chills when playing together in our rehearsal space. About time to get the project outside of those four walls. We call it "Longen".
To follow what we are doing and how the new songs, recordings and concerts develop, visit www.longenmusic.net or follow www.facebook.com/longenmusic.

Onder Invloed Magazine
To celebrate Onder Invloed's fifth year anniversary there's a great online magazine full of interviews, portraits and stories of, by and about people and music. Founder Matthijs van der Ven asked me to write a little something about my influences and experiences in music. I ended up with a short philosophical reflection on myself as a performing artist. Apparently, I learn most about myself when writing.
The magazine is good fun, hope you'll enjoy!

Five songs, two guitars and a couple of microphones
Dear reader and listener,
You can now listen to some new music I recorded recently on www.rebeccasier.com. Written in the summer of 2012, played in the following fall during a Popronde-tour. Five songs, two guitars and a couple of microphones.
The songs and lyrics can be downloaded for 4 euro's. There are various options to download, which I explained in a separate blog entry - click here to read all about it. One of the options is buying one of the 250 especially designed postcards during a concert. The cards come with a download code, giving access to the music and lyrics.
I hope you'll enjoy the music.
All the best,
Rebecca

Live at Popronde Nijmegen
Someone in the audience made a video of last weekend's performance at Nijmegen. "In the Middle", to be part of the five songs I'm putting online soon. I find it curious to see myself play this one.

Biography
Rebecca
----------------------------
I like uneven rhythms, emptiness and dissonants. Composing and playing music comes with what moves me from within. This tends to change. Up until now Nick Drake, Radiohead and Talk Talk have been some major influences. Just a week ago it turned out that music I've been looking for quite a while is labeled as 'post rock'. Especially silence between the notes in these compositions intrigues me, leaving room for own musical brain waves. Let's see where these new waves will take me.
